Man gets 10-year jail for sexually assaulting two minor girls

SURAT: A 33-year-old man was convicted for raping two seven-year-old girls and sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment by a local court on Monday. The accused used to show obscene videos to the survivors and molest them at his residence.
Arjun Udaram Lohar, a resident of Dindoli, was awarded 10 years of imprisonment for raping the two girls. The convict was fined Rs 3,000 in cash and was also ordered to pay compensation of Rs 25,000 to the survivors' family.
The convict was arrested on January 20, 2016 in Dindoli police station for allegedly raping the minor girls soon after a complaint was lodged by their father. Both the girls were living in the neighbouring home of the convict. The molestation continued for almost a month.
The convict used to take the girls with him on finding them playing outside their residence. He used to take them along by offering to buy chocolate. Later, the convict molested them while showing obscene videos on mobile phone.
During medical examination, it was found that the girls were molested. Police also found strong evidences against the convict from his mobile phone. Police recovered obscene video clips from the phone during investigation. The phone was sent to forensic science laboratory to collect evidences.
