Nirav Modi's posters come up in Surat hours before marathon

SURAT: Posters with images of absconding bank fraud accused Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya sharing space with Prime Minister Narendra Modi have come-up in the diamond city on Sunday few hours before the night marathon organised with theme of Run for New India. The posters were put up at multiple locations in the city around the route of the night marathon.
The poster had the marathon theme written on it ‘Run for New India’ with Modi’s image in centre. On right there are images of Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, Vijay Mallya and others while on left there are images of engineer, doctor, lawyer, scientist and farmer. The posters show bundles of Rs 2,000 currency notes with the fraud accused while images of bhajia are shown with the commoners.
The posters were pasted on entry gate of Vanita Vishram campus, Joggers Park near Ghod Dod Road, near city BJP office and on entry gate of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University exactly in front of bungalow of vice chancellor Shivendra Gupta.
The posters soon went viral on social media during early hours on Sunday since they were put up at those locations where large number of people come for morning walk. However, it was removed by police soon after the message went viral.
