Wife kills self after husband's mysterious death in Surat

SURAT: A 38-year-old woman, wife of a textile businessman, fell on ground from fifth floor apartment in City Light area and died on the spot due to severe injuries on Monday. It is suspected that the woman committed suicide by jumping from a bathroom window. Her husband died in a road accident on Friday on Sachin Magdalla Highway near Vesu in mysterious circumstances.
Shweta Sureka, wife of Anand Naval Sureka, died after falling from the fifth floor residence in City Light area at around 8.30 am. She sustained severe injuries all over her body and declared dead on being brought to hospital. Two people tried to catch her when she was falling but they could not save her. One of them sustained fracture in hand while attempting to catch her.
It is seen in a CCTV video of the apartment that some residents who were on ground floor first noticed that a glass fell on ground. Later they observed that Shweta was coming out of the window. Two men on the ground tried to catch her but they could not.
Earlier, on Friday at around 8.30 pm, Anand died after being crushed by an unidentified truck on Sachin Magdalla highway near Vesu area of city. The family members had informed police that Anand would have gone to Abhva village for some work and while returning he must stopped at the spot for some work.
