BHARUCH/SURAT: National BJP president Amit Shah accused the Congress of promoting divisive politics and said that the opposition party has no agenda to contest the assembly polls.
Symbolizing Vagra constituency number 151 with BJP's target, Shah said that he had decided to launch the election campaign from here as the party is sure to win record 151 seats in December.
" I would like to ask the Congress as to what is their agenda for Gujarat. They don't have any concrete issues to go to voters and hence they are resorting to divisive politics. What has Congress done for Gujarat? They stalled Sardar Sarovar dam's progress. Gujarat had to beg for its right over oil and gas royalty. But as soon as Narendra Modi government was formed, Rs 8,000 crore was released for Gujarat as royalty," Shah said addressing a rally.
Hitting out at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's joblessness jibes, Shah said that Congress must know that 13,672 people from Amethi have come for employment here. "People only migrate if there are no jobs locally," he said.
Shah said that people of the state very well know who has brought about an over-all development. "Congress is sure to suffer its worst-ever defeat and add another ignominy to their string of defeats," he said.
