SURAT: A young married woman was found dead in her house in Pandesara area of the city on Friday. Police have registered a case of accidental death and begun investigations.
Deceased Kunjan Patel (21) was taken to New Civil Hospital (NCH) when found lying in her house, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. She had some marks on her neck and throat. Her sister had found her lying on floor and shifted to hospital. Kunjan's husband works in a dyeing mill. She had a three-year-old daughter.
Police said they have got the postmortem report. The cause of Kunjan's death was due to hanging. Her family members had tried to hide from the police the real cause behind Kunjan's death, whose neck had marks of strangulation.
"We may register a case of suicide after completion of the investigation," the police added.
