BRTS bus damaged by hooligans

Surat: Police arrested one person from an area under Salabatpura police station on Sunday for allegedly damaging a BRTS bus and a private car the previous day. The accused targeted the vehicles and attacked local residents in a clash on Saturday.
Police arrested Saifulla for allegedly damaging public property and breaking glasses of a car in Bhathena. His associates who were involved in the attack and damaging the vehicles were booked. They are on the run.
Police investigation revealed that the accused and his associates are members of Firoz Patel gang. They damaged door of a residence in Man Darwaja area under Khatodara police station limits and threatened local residents of dire consequences over rivalry with someone living there. The gang later went out in Bhathena area on two-wheelers and pelted stones at a bus and damaged glasses of a car.
