The minor rape survivor in her complaint to the police commissioner alleged that the police team did not have a woman cop and they stayed in a hotel where the policeman raped her during night.
The minor rape survivor demanded a neutral inquiry. She requested the police commissioner to hand over the investigation against the policeman to a woman officer from another police station because the accused being a cop was capable of destroying evidence and delaying justice.
The minor rape survivor was accompanied by her father and some members of a non-governmental organization.
Police commissioner Satish Sharma said, "An inquiry has been ordered because it is a serious issue. Deputy commissioner of police R P Barot will nominate a woman officer to conduct the inquiry against the policeman accused of rape."
He said the rape survivor made the allegation of rape against the policeman, but her father, who was in Mumbai then, is yet to corroborate it.
