Goods worth Rs 4.72 lakh stolen from storeroom of HPCL

SURAT: Cables and electrical instruments worth Rs 4.72 lakh was stolen from the storeroom of HPCL unit in Icchapore on Wednesday.
Officials from Icchapore police said the HPCL unit had allocated space to keep goods of company Emerson Process Management India Private Limited. Some unknown persons entered the storeroom after breaking open the glass of the window. They stole 159 pieces of stainless steel pipes, 1,250 pieces of cable glands, seven pieces of valves, five electronic display units and one piece of electric instruments, all worth Rs 4.72 lakh.
Police also said the thieves only stole specific items. A case of theft has been registered and investigations was on.
