Members of 80,000-strong Christian community in the city offered prayers at CNI Christ Church, CNI Muglisarai Church, Nanpura Catholic Church and churches of other Christian denominations. Large number of non-Christians, too, joined them and wished them Merry Christmas.
Churches and houses of members of the community had been decorated. Christian families and their friends visited each other's houses and exchanged sweets and wished a Merry Christmas.
City malls and commercial establishments were decorated too. There was an abundance of Santa Claus who continued to give small gifts to the children.
Christmas celebrations will last until the dawn of 2018 in the city. Then, everyone will welcome the New Year with warmth and boundless energy.
