Traffic coming from Dumas will have to go to VIP Road taking right turn from Magdalla crossroads. Similarly, traffic from Y Junction near V R Mall will not be allowed to go towards Parle Point and vehicles will have to go to Magdalla-Udhna Road.
Parking of vehicles will not be allowed on Gaurav Path Road from Parle Point to Magdalla crossroads. However, the police have made arrangements for parking at open plots at various locations near the main road.
Over 800 policemen will be deployed for security on the road. "We have made elaborate arrangements for traffic movement on Gaurav Path on Sunday. The police will ensure that people can celebrate the evening peacefully," city police commissioner Satish Sharma said.
The police will also keep a close watch on farmhouses and other locations to ensure strict implementation of prohibition law.
"Teams of special operation group and detection of crime branch will keep a close watch in the city. We are also keeping watch with CCTV cameras and 150 breathalysers will also be used by police to see that there is no drunk driving in the city," Sharma added.
