SURAT: A resident of Vesu was booked at Umra police station on Monday for allegedly raping a 19-year-old woman.
Accused Vinod Sahani had promised to marry the complainant and continued to rape her for two years. When the woman reminded him about his promise, the accused thrashed her. The woman suffered injuries on head and shoulder. Investigation revealed that the accused is already married.
